Yana Kononova, a participant in the long-term Image Threads photobook course conducted in Kiev in 2017-2018, was recently named winner of the Ukrainian Contemporary Photo Discovery of the Year Award. Her project “As if Lola” was also shortlisted for the Ukrainian Dummy Award 2018.
Two of our long-term Ukrainian students, Yana Kononova and Pavel Borshchenko, will be featured in a group exhibition at EEP Berlin, opening March 20, 2019 at 7pm.
Look for our table – showcasing work by our contributors and students – in the zine section at the LA Art Book Fair April 11-14! A portion of all proceeds will go to support future Image Threads programming.
ANDREW WAITS’ book “Aporia” was shortlisted for both Kassel Book Dummy Award and MACK First Photobook Award this year, and was just announced as the winner Fiebre Dummy Award!
Andrew will be one of the instructors for our upcoming Havana workshop.
